Radiohead, Jools

For the first time ever, I spent some time listening to a Radiohead album, as a result of watching The Mercury Music Awards at the weekend. A couple of things strike me: it's hard to hear the lyrics and almost all of the album is melancholy. Is that usual for Radiohead?

Amazon include a warning that the CD includes copy protection, and may not be usable on a PC. Not tried that yet, but will do so today.

On another note, Jools Holland was terrible as the presenter of the awards. It seemed obvious that he was scripted for the whole show, and he made little or no attempt to hide it. Quite disappointing after watching his animated enthusiasm on “Later...”.
