Planet Sun -- an abbreviated feed

There was some discussion about whether full article contents should be included in feeds, particularly in the context of Planet Sun. I personally quite like full articles - it means that I don’t need to leave my aggregator quite so much.

Anyway, as a test, Planet Sun now sports an abbreviated RSS 2.0 feed. This is generated in a fairly simple manner - the article content is limited to 200 chars in HTML form before being inserted into the feed. This can produce some slightly odd results, as the truncation can occur in the middle of an HTML tag, but some cleaning of the resulting string means that the end result is generally useful. Of course, some things will be chopped mid-word.

If there is general interest in an abbreviated HTML page based on the same mechanism, please let me know.
