schwartz -- the new breed?

Via iPodderX comes a variety of spoken-word recordings for your enjoyment. Personally I’ve been listening to some of the stuff produced by ITConversations, where my favourites were Tim O’Reilly’s Watching the Alpha Geeks and Paul Graham’s Great Hackers.

These two kept me interested whilst I was painting the side door a couple of weekends ago. For walking around town (after taking Louis to nursery) The Gillmor Gang has been amusing - particularly when people can’t shut off the other phone ringing in the background.

In the September 24th edition of The Gillmor Gang there’s a lot of reference to Jonathan Schwartz’s blogging. It’s curious - from the inside of the company I don’t find his activities particularly surprising. Maybe it’s just that his reputation is already in place here. Hearing the amount of conversation that is prompted by this relatively simple activity makes me wonder why other presidents (well, except perhaps that one) haven’t done it before.
