emacs on the mac

Posted on Oct 5, 2004

If you’re using Emacs.app and you haven’t updated from savannah.gnu.org in a while then you should give it a go. Some great work by YAMAMOTO Mitsuharu has improved how emacs interacts with the window system significantly. Control-G interruptions are improved as well as a bunch of other good stuff.

Update: A couple of people suggested that my instructions were somewhat lacking :-)

I’ve been building my own Emacs.app from CVS for a while, but if you’d prefer a pre-built version then look here. A great service!
