macosx location manager

Does anyone know if it’s possible to execute a shell script (or Applescript) as a consequence of selecting a new location from the Location menu on Mac OS X 10.3?

Update: Geoff (who really should find something better to do than comment on my blog :-/) suggests that Location Manager might be a solution.

I looked at this and, as best as I can tell from reading the documentation, it completely side-steps all of the existing location infrastructure in Mac OS X, which means that I’d have to switch over to it completely.

Hmm. Not so keen on that…
