LVM vs. ZFS

This morning I spent some time trying to get LVM to do something pretty simple (a filesystem on one logical volume with a single physical volume underneath). In the end I gave up and removed the LVM support from the kernel.

It made me realise just how good the administrative model and utilities for ZFS really are.
