Bulldog Customer Service

Despite my own happiness, Bulldog have had some severe press about their customer service. Lots of people seemed unhappy. Today, for the first time, my service went down. Neither broadband or phone worked. Calling the phone from another gave “This number is temporarily out of order.”

With some trepidation I rang the customer service freephone number. After hitting two numbers (the usual menu tree) a chap called Will answered almost immediately (less than five seconds) and told me that yes, the Watford exchange was down. He didn’t have an ETA for a fix, and so couldn’t say when it might be back.

Whilst Will didn’t have any timescales, at least he was quick to answer the phone and didn’t promise anything that they couldn’t deliver. That seems pretty good to me.

The service was back about 2 hours later.
